Gordon and Harley face-off in Harley Quinn Season 2’s “Inner (Para) Demons.”

Jim Gordon is preparing to put Gotham back on the map while Harley Quinn is visiting Darkseid in order to get an army of demons. Harley Quinn Season 2’s “Inner (Para) Demons” has the commissioner and our favorite lady clown going at it to see who will win Gotham.

What happened in Harley Quinn Season 2’s “Inner (Para) Demons?”

Harley Quinn starts with Commissioner Gordon preparing to put his city back on the map. However, the President informs him that this isn’t a possibility until he takes care of Harley Quinn who is still running amuck.

Things are beyond awkward for Harley and Poison Ivy after their kiss; one that Poison claims happened due to the adrenaline of escaping Bane’s prison-pit. Laughing along, Harley agrees and even goes to the point of kissing Doctor Psycho to prove that she will kiss anyone. This isn’t Harley’s only random kiss in the episode, as she later kisses Batgirl and King Shark to further prove her point.

We then see a very upset Kite Man, because Poison Ivy forgot to make a reservation for their brunch with his parents. He apologizes for the amount of pressure he put on her and lets her know that he just wants his parents to approve of their engagement. Poison lets him know that she’ll do whatever it takes to make sure they love her.

Once they arrive for brunch, Kite Man’s parents are already putting him down for not calling in a reservation. Poison says that she will speak to the manager, which for Poison Ivy simply means using her plants to remove the couple out of his parents’ usual spot. This action wins her some major points with the rents.

Batgirl enters Harley and the crew’s lair to warn her that Gordon is planning to take her down, and the reason she’s alerting them is that she knows Harley isn’t truly a villain and has done some heroic things such as take down the Injustice League and kill Joker.

Being a hero is the last thing Harley wants, especially as she’s in the middle of claiming how much of a villain she is. This is when she makes the decision to create an army to defeat Gordon.

Doctor Psycho comes up with a plan that the crew slightly follows. Harley and the others gear up to go to Apokolips, where she asks Darkseid for an army. After playing the therapist and questioning if this is what she really wants, Darkseid finally agrees.

However, she first must defeat the leader of the Female Furies, Granny Goodness. A battle between the two ladies ensues and things aren’t looking so hot for Harley, but somehow she manages to defeat her opponent.

Brunch isn’t going well for Kite Man and Poison Ivy. When he temporarily leaves, his parents share with Poison Ivy how disappointed they were when he was born without powers. For them, Poison is the answer to their prayers because now their grandchildren will have a chance of gaining powers. At this point, she’s had enough with their treatment of their son and lets them know exactly how she feels.

Batgirl returns but this time she’s warning her father about Harley’s new demon army; which somehow plants an idea in Gordon’s head that he now wants his own army and turns to the people of Gotham to join him in his battle. Unfortunately, Harley has the upper hand which leads to the brutal deaths of many Gotham citizens.

Noticing the Boom Tube, the portal in which the demons are coming from, Poison Ivy and Kite Man head to where Harley Quinn is wreaking havoc. Attempting to stop her from causing any more damage, Poison asks Harley if this is what she really wants.

Realizing what she wants is actually Poison, Harley Quinn destroys the Motherbox that is controlling the demons; sending them back to Apokolips. A disappointed Doctor Psycho takes this moment to announce that he’s leaving the crew.

Unfortunately, when Harley Quinn is finally ready to discuss her hidden feelings, her and Poison Ivy get interrupted by Kite Man who just can’t wait to share how his fiancee defended him at brunch. Harley Quinn, clearly upset, says that all she wanted to say was that they should start planning the bachelorette party.
