Netflix’s Dark releases season 3 teaser, reveals premiere date
Netflix has released the first Dark S3 teaser trailer alongside a release date.
After much anticipation, Netflix has finally released the first teaser trailer alongside a release date for its one of the most beloved shows, Dark. The hit German series will be concluding with its third and final season which is set to premiere on June 27. As expected by the majority of the fandom, the show is indeed coming back on the day that is the of the apocalypse on the series.
Dark is a German sci-fi, dystopian, supernatural thriller which debuted back on 2017 and aired its second season last June, the show is set in a German town called Winden, where the disappearance of two kids exposes the relationship among the four families at the show’s core.
What’s happening in the Dark season 3 trailer?
The sophomore season of Dark saw the start of the apocalypse as the town of Winden was being wiped out. The show also introduced the multiverse in the final moments of the season as Martha was shot dead by Adam which will certainly be pivotal in the final season.

The majority of the trailer focuses on these three cleft-lip men, all possibly looking like the same person from different points of time setting fire to Adam’s base. We also get to see a closeup shot of Michael’s suicide letter from the freshman season and there’s also a woman going full-on Urlich on someone (spooky).
The trailer is done in bit of a Nolan’s Tenet style-ish way, so everything seems to be running backward on the trailer. It also seems like the show will continue to explore and delve deeper into the themes of free will and fate.
During an announcement regarding the final season last year, Dark co-creators Baran bo Odar and Jantje Friese said that they will offer answers to the questions that the viewers have been asking and help untangle the story through time. While talking about the ending they said, “It will be hard for us to walk away from those characters we have really grown fond of, but the beginning is the end, and the end is the beginning.”
The recent trailer also ended with the tagline, “The final cycle begins”, which instantly changes to “The final cycle ends.”
Dark stars Louis Hofmann, Karoline Eichhorn, Lisa Vicari, Oliver Masucci, Andreas Pietschmann, and Gina Stiebitz among an ensemble of cast.
