Like Defending Jacob and The Sinner, Truth Be Told is also based on the book Are You Sleeping by Kathleen Barber and anchored by an all-star cast including Octavia Spencer and Aaron Paul. It also revolves around true crime.
Spencer plays a podcaster named Poppy Parnell, who played a big part in getting Warren Cave arrested for Chuck Buhrman’s murder. However, years later, she begins to doubt the veracity of his sentencing and works to find out the truth about the murder that captivated audiences for years.
Truth Be Told is also an Apple TV+ series and has been renewed for a second season, Spencer will reprise her role as Poppy.

The Good Wife is a very popular political and legal drama that ran on CBS for seven seasons and cultivated numerous awards during its run.
It was notable enough to get a spin-off called The Good Fight, which has proved to be successful on CBS All Access and just got renewed for a fifth season. The Good Wife focused on the story of Alicia Florrick, played by Julianna Margulies.
Alicia struggles to return to her career in law after navigating a political corruption and sex scandal concerning her husband, Peter Florrick. The series is also riddled with numerous notable guest stars. The Good Wife is available to stream on Amazon Prime, Hulu, and CBS.
