Devils Season 1: The CW picks up Patrick Dempsey’s show
By Mads Lennon
The CW has landed Devils Season 1 to air in the fall.
With television production on hold, The CW has had to shake things up with its fall schedule by pushing the majority of its shows back to a late January start. To counteract that, they’ve acquired shows from other networks — such as Devils Season 1 starring Patrick Dempsey, TVLine reports.
Among the other series the network has acquired to air this fall is DC Universe’s Swamp Thing, CBS All Access’s Tell Me a Story, and the UK comedy series Dead Pixels.
Devils Season 1: What is the show about?
Devils Season 1 will air on The CW at 8 p.m. on Wednesday nights, leading into the Serinda Swan-led investigative drama Coroner, a Canadian import.

Two Sentence Horror Stories will air back-to-back episodes on Sunday nights from 8 to 9 p.m., replacing Masters of Illusions, which is on the move to Friday nights. The network is considering moving Dead Pixels up to this summer.
For clarification, it sounds like Two Sentence Horror Stories will be new episodes as The CW did renew the horror anthology show for a second season.

According to TVLine, Devils centers on Alessandro Borghi’s character, Massimo Ruggero. Massimo is the ruthless Head of Tradiing at an important investment bank. Dempsey plays his mentor, Dominic.
Dominic appoints a colleague over Massimo and in the fallout, he is fingered as the prime suspect in the center of a murder investigation.
Massimo has to do whatever it takes to clear his name, which could put him up against his mentor.
It sounds like Dempsey will be playing a morally grey or antagonistic character in the series. Sky Atlantic has since renewed it for a second season, which I assume will eventually air on The CW.
