5. The ceremonial screaming pillow

Mac Day may seem like a special day, and it would be. However, make no mistake about it: All these different days for the gang are likely just an excuse for them all to totally spoil themselves. It’s also a way to show them applying rules and limits to each other.

On top of that, it’s obviously an endurance test, as the gang is allowed “one scream a day to the ceremonial screaming pillow,” should they get too enraged at Mac. Dennis utilizing the pillow during the bride scene is a classic It’s Always Sunny moment.

6. Jumping the bridge / “Suicide is badass!”

Throughout the entire run of It’s Always Sunny, the gang has been consistently skeptical of Mac’s cred as a “badass.” When Mac proposes a simulated jump from a bridge to look cool, the gang seems to have mixed feelings about it. When Frank says “Suicide is badass,” it’s funnier because the whole thing is supposed to be fake.

Then, of course, Country Mac actually makes the jump, without spilling his beer, putting Mac to shame. Country Mac isn’t worried about the distance, or whether it’s allowed. He just goes and does it. However, Country Mac wasn’t made to last. It turns out all this “badassery” really does kill him, having a cumulative effect, after which he simply drops dead. So, in a way, Frank is almost right.
