2. Worst TV dads: Byron Montgomery

Pretty Little Liars has something of a track record for having some terrible parents (and some really good ones), but there might not be any worse than Byron Montgomery. He was a straight-up creep. For starters, he cheated on his wife and then tried to put the burden of his affair on his daughter by forcing her to keep it quiet.

Later in the show, we learn that Byron had seen Alison DiLaurentis on her last night before she mysteriously vanished. He became a potential suspect for her killer since she knew about his affair. Honestly, all the dads on Pretty Little Liars were terrible (except Emily’s).

1. Worst TV dads: Stannis Baratheon

Game of Thrones is another show that has a lot of really terrible dads, but we decided to go with Stannis Baratheon purely for what he did to poor Shireen. Shireen’s death is easily one of the most controversial moments from the entire series.

Stannis allowed Shireen to get burned to death as part of a sacrifice on the off chance that he might be able to gain the power needed to win the war. I mean, how terrible is that? Anyone willing to kill their child for their benefit, or just in general, is pretty heinous.

Don’t get us wrong though, Stannis isn’t alone in the “bad dad hall of fame” on Game of Thrones. Craster, Tywin Lannister, and Walder Frey are keeping him company.
