Legends of Tomorrow actor Shayan Sobhian is back for good next season.

Fans of DC’s Legends of Tomorrow can breathe a sigh of relief—Shayan Sobhian, who plays Behrad, Zari’s younger brother, is set to return as a series regular, TVLine reports.

Behrad was a new addition to the show in season five—apart from his cameo in the last scenes of season four—but was killed partway through.

The majority of the final episodes of the fifth installment followed the Legends’ attempts at bringing him back to life using the Loom of Fate.

Now, it looks like their efforts have paid off—Behrad is not only set to stay alive and well in the current Arrowverse, but will be an essential member of the Legends of Tomorrow.

Legends of Tomorrow: Who is Behrad?

Behrad’s existence in the show is a temporal aberration—in the original timeline, he was killed in the future, with his sister, Zari (Tala Ashe), joining the Legends of Tomorrow to avenge him.

In season four of the show, the Legends made a massive change to the timeline which altered Zari and Behrad’s lives—not only was Behrad alive, but Zari was transformed into a new version who had not lived in the dystopian future that was OG Zari’s life.

Instead of OG Zari joining the Legends, Behrad became the totem-bearing hero on the Waverider. Eventually, Zari 2.0 joined the team, as well. All signs point to Ashe returning for the show’s sixth installment, as well.

Season five of DC’s Legends of Tomorrow saw numerous exits, including series regular Brandon Routh’s Ray Palmer and Maisie Richardson-Sellers’ Charlie.

But the fates of other characters could also be up in the air, including team leader Sara Lance (Caity Lotz). At the end of the season, after a raucous party to bid Charlie farewell, Lance was seemingly abducted by aliens—an act that was not witnessed by her intoxicated crew.

Fans will be wondering what is set to happen to Lance in the next season and how Behrad and Zari 2.0 will help keep the team together during what will be another exciting but bonkers season.
