The Byrde family saga will conclude with Ozark Season 4.

Ozark Season 4 will be the final installment of Netflix’s dark, gloomy, and suspenseful drama starring Jason Bateman and Laura Linney, according to TVLine. We’ll get 14 more episodes of the Byrde family drama which will be split into two parts, 7 episodes each. I can get on board with that!

Honestly, this news doesn’t come as a shock to me given the way Ozark Season 3 ended. It left us with quite the cliffhanger and took us on an emotional rollercoaster–each episode jam-packed with more drama and suspense than the last.

Bye, bye Byrdie

But having said that, it’ll be tough to bid farewell to the Byrde family and their tangled, chaotic lives. It’s almost as if they became our dysfunctional family members that we have to be mindful of during family reunions.

I think we can expect things to end very dramatically and in true Ozark nature. Whether that’s an unexpected character death, a huge plot twist, or the Byrde family becoming the top-notch druglord family to rival that of Pablo Escobar, we can basically expect anything to happen.

It’s a pretty clever move (and the perfect time) to bring up the fact that Ozark Season 4 will be the show’s last. Why is that you ask?

Well, Emmy voting is set to begin in just a couple of days, and with news of the final season making its rounds, it’s a very intelligent way to keep the series in everyone’s minds.

We see you Ozark Season 4, we see you.

Along with the news of the final season and it’s two-part split, it’s been revealed that Laura Linney is getting a promotion for the final stretch of episodes as co-executive producer. Way to go!

I’m not sure what Ozark Season 4 will be about but I am eager to see where things pick up after that Season 3 finale. In the off-chance you haven’t seen it, I won’t spoil it, but it was something else and completely caught me off-guard.

It will certainly serve as a launching point for the narrative of the fourth season, and let’s just say, this may be the Byrdes’ most dramatic season yet.
