4. Canceled Netflix shows: Sense8

Sense8 was a science fiction series revolving around “sensates,” a group of interconnected people living in various places around the world. The characters featured were all emotionally and physically linked to each other, with the ability to utilize skills from one person to assist another, and more.

The creators wanted to explore themes such as politics, sexual orientation, gender identity, and more. It quickly became a critically-acclaimed series with a huge and devoted fanbase. Unfortunately, the viewership numbers and costly nature of Sense8 resulted in its cancellation after only two seasons.

However, thanks to fan outcry, the show did receive a lengthy special meant to serve as a series finale. Still, many feel like the show deserves more and feel as if there are more stories to tell within the Sense8 universe.

3. Canceled Netflix shows: Chambers

A short-lived supernatural television series, Chambers was a truly unique storytelling experience with a strong cast and truly grotesque moments of body horror. Sadly, the show never received much promotion from Netflix and fell by the wayside, getting lost in the heavy onslaught of Netflix Originals and subsequently canceled after a lone season.

While the show could function as a miniseries, it was unfortunate it was axed so fast considering its diverse cast and stellar performances from stars Sivan Alyra Rose, Uma Thurman, and Tony Goldwyn.

Rose played teenage Sasha Yazzie, a young woman who needs a heart transplant and receives one from the recently deceased Becky Lefevre. Becky’s spirit begins haunting Sasha as she infiltrates the Lefevre family and begins to discover a sinister secret behind her death.
