2. Canceled Netflix shows: Spinning Out

Spinning Out was a unique series in that it followed an up-and-coming figure skater named Kat Baker (Kaya Scodelario) who also struggled with bipolar disorder. At the start of the series, Kat is prepared to give up her dream after a devastating setback but decides to give it another chance after she meets a charming “bad boy” partner.

Despite the show developing a loyal fan base quite fast, the series unfortunately only lasted for a single season before Netflix opted to cancel it. Some fans are still lobbying for it to get rescued by another service on social media, especially since the ending left several cliffhangers.

1. Canceled Netflix shows: The OA

If you read any list about underrated television shows on Netflix or in the sci-fi genre, odds are you will see Brit Marling’s series The OA mentioned. Marling plays the main character Prairie Johnson who suddenly resurfaces after being missing for seven years.

Even stranger, she can now see despite being blind before she vanished. The show received a lot of critical praise and, again, developed a very devout and loyal fan base during its brief two-season stint on Netflix. None of that was enough to save it, and so viewers have been left in the lurch with the show, which ended on a massive cliffhanger.
