4. Brave New World Season 2: What is in the gold box?

As we mentioned briefly in the previous slide, the main reason Sheila doesn’t immediately kill Bernard for returning to the Savage Lands despite her previous warnings is because he offers her a strange gold box. She opens it, and whatever is inside motivates her to give Bernard and Helm a chance to tag along. We don’t get to see what’s inside the box.

Could it be a new type of contact lens? It has to be something small to fit inside a carrier no bigger than an average jewelry box. Unfortunately, we aren’t given many context clues to even make theories. I suppose we’ll find out next season (I hope).

3. Brave New World Season 2: How will Lenina and John handle their new roles in New London?

While Bernard is sent to the Savage Lands, John and Lenina remain in New London with new roles. Lenina is promoted to the new Director in a world that might differ vastly from the old rules and class separations.

John now lives as a hermit beneath New London, keeping in contact with Lenina only through holographic date nights. I can’t see that lasting forever, no matter what John thinks he wants, at some point, the two will likely reunite. I’m curious what New London will be like under Lenina Crowne’s rule.
