Norman Reedus’s best acting moments from The Walking Dead Season 10
The Walking Dead Season 10 Episode 6: “Bonds”
For possibly the first time on The Walking Dead Daryl and Carol’s friendship is on rocky ground. Daryl has noticed that she has not been the same woman since Alpha killed Henry however he has been able to do little to help her.
While tossing acorns into a can to pass the time they bond over harmless and comedic banter. Something they have been doing throughout the show.
When Carol finds two acorns attached, calling them a “double capper”, she gives it to Daryl for good luck. He puts it in his pocket with a grin before the conversation turns serious.
When Daryl mentions that King Ezekiel, Carol’s ex-husband was asking for her she replied with a question of her own. She asks Daryl how Connie is.
One of Norman’s strongest acting abilities is his nonverbal behavior. He can speak entirely through the silence with his eyes and expressions.
This episode is no different. Daryl remains mostly silent, appearing uncomfortable at the subject.
In this scene, in particular, Daryl is very hard to read. He appears to be thinking about Connie and Carol at the same time. However, he is worried that Carol is hiding things from him.
He feels at a loss for the first time with her and Carol’s unwillingness to include Daryl in her plans causes a huge rift between them later.
