The Walking Dead Season 10 Episode 15: “The Tower”

After losing The Hilltop to The Whisperers, things had been tense in the group, especially after Magna arrives alive and reveals that she lost Connie along the way. Finding Connie has been a mission for Daryl, similar to when he was searching for Sophia in Season 2 and trying to find and rescue Beth in Season 5.

Both instances wound up to be critical failures.

As he and Judith encounter a female Whisperer that Daryl promises he wouldn’t kill if she answered his questions only to go back on his words frightens and frustrates Judith. Judith confesses that she wants everyone back together again missing her mom (Michonne).

She tells him how she went to help people and was afraid that if Daryl knew he’d also leave.

Daryl can’t promise he won’t leave because nothing in their world is guaranteed. Norman’s heartfelt advice and honesty to Judith comes off genuine and real.

He told her the truth, no matter the subject which is what any true uncle would do for his niece or nephew.

Cailey works well with Norman in the scenes they share together reminding the viewers watching that while she is braver than most children her age she is still a child. Daryl sees her strength and acknowledges her concerns.

His words calm Judith down even if that means she will have her heartbroken one day. They share another embrace before Daryl hears Father Gabriel’s distorted voice over the walkie talkie.
