Seven questions we need answered in The Umbrella Academy Season 3.

Most of us have finished watching The Umbrella Academy‘s second season by now — and if you haven’t spoilers beware — but we’re already thinking about The Umbrella Academy Season 3.

Netflix has not officially renewed the series, but I’m pretty sure it’s only a matter of time considering how popular it is. Season 1 was already received well, but Season 2 was even better in many ways and the number of fans is only increasing.

Hopefully, we’ll get official confirmation before the end of the summer. Until then, we’re going to get started on coming up with crazy theories and questions for the future of the show. The following list details seven questions we desperately hope to get answered in The Umbrella Academy Season 3.

7. The Umbrella Academy Season 3 questions: What happened to Grace?

In Season 2, we are introduced to a very human Grace, a woman who we can assume Reginald based the future robot-Grace on. In 1960s Dallas, Grace is a scientist who works closely alongside Reginald in giving Pogo intelligence and some of his projects on the moon.

Yet it becomes clear Reginald keeps her at an arm’s length. Diego tries to warn Grace that there is more to Reginald than she knows and hints at his dark agenda toward John F. Kennedy. Despite not knowing Diego, Grace finds herself curious and pokes around Reginald’s study, winding up inside a secret room with lots of nefarious plotting and paperwork.

When she confronts him, he tells her he can’t tell her everything right now, but he hopes to tell her the entire truth, someday. That’s not good enough for Grace, who decides she can’t wait around for him. She leaves. That’s the last we see of human Grace in Season 2.

The next time we see Grace, she’s a robot in Vanya’s hallucination and part of her face is falling off. Did Reginald kill human Grace and then make a robot so she would be enslaved to him forever as a form of vengeance after she left him?

Did he let her go and just become obsessed with her likeness so he based a robot on her appearance? Does robot Grace even exist anymore now that the Sparrow Academy has arrived?
