The Umbrella Academy: 7 burning questions Season 3 needs to answer
By Mads Lennon
2. The Umbrella Academy Season 3 questions: Where are the other 1989 children now?
One of the biggest twists and plot points in the second season was not revealed until the finale, but we learned that Lila was none other than one of the children born on October 1, 1989. Her abilities are extraordinary, as she is able to mimic any opponent with superpowers.
The question is, if Lila exists and can be out there in the care of someone like The Handler, how many other children are still out there, potentially raised by someone villainous with bad intentions? Could the Hargreeves start to be threatened by their own kin with powers even stronger and more terrifying than their own?
1. The Umbrella Academy Season 3 questions: What other changes to the timeline did the Hargreeves cause?
We don’t know much at all about the “new” 2019 the Hargreeves have landed in by the end of the second season. The biggest reveals are that Reginald is alive, Ben is alive (albeit very different), and the Umbrella Academy has been replaced by the Sparrow Academy.
There is also a strange glowing green cube on the second story where the remaining members of the Sparrow Academy remain in the shadows. But what else will be affected? How did the Hargreeves meddling with the ’60s affect the present?
Does Allison’s daughter Claire still exist? Are Destiny’s Children still running around? Did Klaus manage to save Dave from certain death? There is a lot for the writers to explore in Season 3, we can’t wait to see what they come up with.
