Supernatural Finale: Final episodes set to air October-November

The Supernatural finale will air this fall.
Time to rejoice—and weep! Supernatural will be appropriately sent off on The CW this fall/ winter season, TVLine reported, with a date being set for the airing of the final episode.
Production on Supernatural Season 15 was halted due to the global pandemic, with the show going on an unplanned break partway through the final season.
Now, the seven remaining episodes of the season—and the show—have finally been given a release date. According to news reports, The CW will be airing the final episodes from October 8, 2020.
The finale is scheduled for November 19 and will be a two-hour special. The first hour will be dedicated to a retrospective on the 15-year long show—Supernatural: The Long Road Home—followed by the final episode.
This format was used for the finale of Arrow—another CW show—that ended early 2020. The retrospective will likely include interviews with the stars and crew of the show, behind the scenes insights, and fond farewells. Handkerchiefs are recommended for all fans tuning in.
Supernatural: The Final Season Thus Far
This final season of Supernatural has been meta—even more so than in previous episodes like ‘The French Connection’. God, aka Chuck Shurley (Rob Benedict), has gone full villain and wants a fitting end for his two favorite creations—Sam and Dean Winchester (Jared Padalecki and Jensen Ackles).
Thus far, we have seen multiple scenarios that God has envisioned for their ends—including Sam once again becoming Lucifer and Dean having to kill him, and another scenario where the two hunters are turned into vampires and subsequently killed by their parental figures.
The hunting duo has been one step behind their nemesis throughout—even with angel Castiel’s (Misha Collins) assistance, and the return of the trio’s pseudo-son, Jack (Alexander Calvert), from apparent death.
However, just before Supernatural was forced into hiatus, the protagonists were able to get the upper hand against God. An alternate universe Sam and Dean had become trapped in this world and were subsequently used as decoys to fool God. This gave Earth-Prime Sam and Dean the opportunity to hunt down a weapon that could take God down.
Considering how this season has gone, one cannot determine what kind of ending the show will actually come to. The scenarios so far have been bleak, but fans will hope that the Supernatural creators will be kind to the Winchesters and their found family—they have all been through so much, and deserve a happy ending.
Fingers crossed for the Supernatural finale to be a wholesome affair!
