Outlander is getting a four-part Facebook series–and it launches this week!

Outlander Season 6 feels like a distant dream, and the fact that we have no idea when production will begin and when the season will air makes it feel even further away. But fret not fellow Outlander fans, because we’re getting some new content!

Starting this Sunday, yes this Sunday, a four-part conversational series will launch on Facebook that will rope in the cast and crew including Sam Heughan and Caitriona Balfe (amongst many others). Beginning Sunday, Aug. 23rd, you can head to the Outlander Collector Facebook page to watch the weekly episodes which sound like just the thing we all need right now.

What can we expect from the four-part Outlander series?

Here is a breakdown of the conversations we can look forward to over the next four weeks. Dare I say, I am freaking out with excitement right now.

  • Sunday, Aug. 23rd: “Book Corner With Diana Gabaldon and Maril Davis”
    • Gabaldon will tease the upcoming ninth book, “Go Tell the Bees That I Am Gone”
  • Sunday, Aug. 30th: “A Taste of Outlander”
    • Lauren Lyle (Marsali) and John Bell (Young Ian) will attempt to learn and make a dish of fish and chips that are historically inspired courtesy of Outlander Kitchen author Theresa Carle-Sanders
  • Sunday, Sept. 6th: “The Music of Outlander”
    • Composer Bear McCreary, singer Raya Yarbrough, and Maria Doyle Kennedy (Aunt Jocasta) will be dropping by to give us the musical event we’ve always dreamt of
  • Sunday, Sept. 13th: “Catch Up With Caitriona and Sam”
    • Um, do I even need to explain this one? I believe it speaks for itself and will be the “finale” to the four-part series that we’ll all be talking about with our fellow Outlander fans.

The best part about this series, apart from us catching up with the people in television we love the most is that they will be raising funds Doctors Without Borders, an international humanitarian aid organization.

Oh, and on Sept. 15th we can all snag our copy of the Outlander Season 5 Collectors Edition Blu-Ray/DVD. Basically, we’ve gone from the dread of a very long Droughtlander to some hope and excitement for the next month or so. And I can’t wait for it all!
