Fans’ prayers have been answered, Warrior Nun Season 2 is happening!

Season 1 of Warrior Nun introduced fans to the Order of the Cruciform Sword and their reluctant Halo Bearer, Ava Silva (Alba Baptista). In an attempt to keep the precious Halo safe, it is put into Ava’s dead body. Of course, Ava doesn’t stay dead long since the Halo brings her back. But we’re starting to think about Warrior Nun Season 2 next!

Throughout the story, Ava bonds with her Sister Warriors and begins to care about a cause bigger than herself. Just when Ava’s life has settled down a bit, she and the Sister Warriors find out something that changes everything. They head to Vatican City to find Adriel’s tomb, Ava determined to destroy what is in it so that demons are not tethered to this world anymore. This would end the cycle of Warrior Nuns fighting demons, but Ava is in for a surprise.

With all the twists and turns of season 1, including when Ava finds not bones but Adriel (William Miller) himself in his tomb, Warrior Nun Season 2 has big shoes to fill. It also has many questions to answer.

Warrior Nun Season 2 needs to tell us who Adriel actually is.

Who is Adriel? That is the big question. The story that the Order of the Cruciform Sword is based on is a lie. Adriel is not an angel who selflessly saved Areala.

When Ava meets him and touches him, she sees what actually happened with the first Warrior Nun. Adriel seems to have come out of a portal, not from heaven. He, therefore, seems to be a demon, not an angel. Therefore, is the Halo actually a halo?

If Adriel is not who the Order thought he was, that means the whole story that is the foundation of the Order is questionable. The Halo is probably not a halo at all, but instead some kind of demon weapon. Hopefully, Warrior Nun Season 2 will answer some of these questions.

Warrior Nun season 2 needs to tell us who Father Vincent is, really.

At the end of season 1, Father Vincent (Tristán Ulloa) shocks everyone by revealing that Adriel is his master. What that means for the priest, however, we don’t know. Is he a demon? An average human being possessed by a demon? Or is he just a bad guy who is willing to betray those he’s supposed to be protecting?

Warrior Nun Season 2 should really go into Father Vincent’s backstory, to help us see why he is working with Adriel. What kind of person is he actually? Is it possible that he could be redeemed? Or is he beyond help?

Ava and the rest of the Sister Warriors deserve answers after being betrayed by someone they trusted so completely. And so does the audience. We certainly hope that the next season of Warrior Nun will give us some of these answers.

Warrior Nun Season 2 needs to solve the mystery of Jillian Salvius’ son, Michael.

In the first season, we are introduced to a scientist named Jillian Salvius (Thekla Reuten). She has a son named Michael (Lope Haydn Evans) who is very sick. She wants to find a cure for him, as any parent would. So she builds a portal to another world where there is no death. At least, that’s what she thinks.

According to Den of Geek, however, Jillian also gives her son a connection to Adriel by injecting him with Divinium from Adriel’s armor. When Adriel tries to forcibly take the halo from Ava, the portal opens and Michael goes through. However, it closes when Ava gets away from Adriel, which, according to Den of Geek, suggests that the halo is a key.

So where is Michael? What is this deathless world? Is he in heaven or has the poor boy wandered into hell? Hopefully, Warrior Nun Season 2 will answer some of these questions.

Warrior Nun Season 2 needs to show what is going on between Ava and Sister Beatrice.

One of the highlights of season 1 of Warrior Nun is the growing bonds between Ava and her Sister Warriors. She gets especially close to Sister Beatrice (Kristina Tonteri-Young). Are the two of them going to get closer? Might it be possible that a romance could blossom between them?

Well, anything is possible. Especially in the supernatural world of Warrior Nun. Season 2, therefore, might feature an Ava and Beatrice romance. Or they could just remain close friends.

When asked about it in an interview with Variety, writer and creator Simon Barry had this to say:

"There’s definitely something there with Ava and Beatrice, in the sense that, Beatrice openly admits she’s gay and that’s a part of her journey and part of our story. Does that define Ava? Well, that remains to be seen…We want them to be defined by who they are and let their sexuality and let their relationships and let their journeys be included in that….we are open and exploring, much like the characters are."

So it seems like the writers are keeping their options open. Ava and Beatrice, therefore, might end up together or they might not. In any case, Warrior Nun Season 2 needs to answer the question of what exactly is going on between them. Whether it remains platonic or becomes romantic, we’re sure fans will be rooting for Ava and Beatrice along the way.
