Yellowstone Season 4: When will it premiere?

More from Editorial

According to Good Housekeeping, Yellowstone Season 4 is currently slated for a 2021 debut. The first three seasons of the show all had a summer run, kicking off in June and then wrapping up in August.

It is likely the network will aim to keep that the same for the fourth season, but it could be pushed back a little depending on how the COVID-19 production works out.

That said, showrunner Taylor Sheridan previously told Deadline that they were safely filming Season 4, so it seems like they are trying to forge ahead even amid the pandemic. For now, things appear to be on track for the next season to air in June 2021.

Sheridan revealed that since the series films at a rather exclusive ranch in Montana, they’re relatively removed from populated areas, which likely makes shooting easier on them amid the health crisis.

“We’re going to shoot exclusively there this year, or in and around it,” he told Deadline.

Yellowstone Season 4: What will the new season be about?

Now that the third season has concluded, we have a better idea of what some of the plot threads moving into Yellowstone Season 4 will be.

Of course, the major cliffhanger that’s going to torment fans between now and next summer is: Who shot John Dutton? There’s no way he’s dead, right?

Not only that but his daughter, Beth, was also left in critical danger after the office was firebombed while she was still in it. Kayce Dutton, too, came under threat from a gunman toward the final moments of the hour. Season 4 is going to kick off with several Duttons in peril. With so many different things happening in the climactic finale, it’s going to be hard to wait for Season 4 to get here.

Actor Forrie J. Smith told Good Housekeeping that the next season would have “a lot more of the ‘Don’t mess with the Duttons’ attitude.” He also discussed what it was like working alongside Costner in the same interview!

Well, that makes sense; the Duttons are obviously going to want revenge after all the chaos of the Season 3 finale. Let’s hope they all survive to see it.
