Supernatural follows the Winchester family as they travel cross-country in search of monsters. Saving people, hunting things, that’s the family business. This long-running supernatural horror drama has run for an astounding 15 seasons, with the final episodes set to debut this October. With over 300 episodes and an incredibly dedicated fanbase, Supernatural is an iconic show in its own right.
It’s great for the fall weather considering its creepy stories. Supernatural is mostly a monster-of-the-week show, which means you don’t necessarily have to watch every episode in order if you prefer to skip around to your favorites. That said, if you’ve never seen it before, you might want to start from the beginning because there are overarching arcs throughout, and later seasons become more serialized.

3. Best fall TV shows: Over the Garden Wall
Over the Garden Wall is an adorable and surprisingly dark little cartoon in the vein of shows like Gravity Falls. Many fans enjoy watching it annually as it’s very short, and it fits the autumnal background perfectly. Brothers Wirt and Greg get lost in a mysterious forest known as the Unknown, which appears to be adrift in time.
Along the way, they encounter strange beings and people in need of help while accepting guidance from a bird named Beatrice and a woodsman. But unbeknownst to them, there is something much more insidious lurking within the Unknown, and if they’re not careful, they might never escape. It’s a whimsical animated series with a storybook vibe.
Over the Garden Wall is streaming on Hulu and HBO Max.
