2. Chicago Fire Season 9: Will the Brasey ship finally set sail?

Yes, this is another question about a relationship that’s been simmering in Firehouse 51. But unlike Stellaride, the Brasey ship still has us all wondering when in the world it’s going to take off.

Capt. Matt Casey and paramedic Sylvie Brett have exchanged longing, loving looks for almost two seasons now. Coworkers, friends and fans can all see that the two have eyes for each other.

So, what is taking them so long?

Well, the repeated excuse is that Casey was once married to Brett’s best friend and former coworker Gabriela Dawson. And to an extent, we get it.

Brett is trying to stick to the “girl code” and keep her hands off her friend’s ex. But Dawson chose to leave Casey and Firehouse 51 behind in Season 7.

Following Dawson’s departure, Brett and Casey started spending more time together. And we watched in anticipation as their friendship blossomed into something more.

With the way the two interact with, care for and support one another, it’s a wonder this matchup wasn’t explored sooner. And we don’t think (most) fans will be too torn up about them getting together. The wait’s been long enough.
