‘Batwoman’ Season 2: The CW Announces Release Date

Batwoman Season 2 has a release date! Despite delays caused by the pandemic, we’re going to see the scarlet-caped hero on-screen soon.

A few months ago, it looked like we weren’t going to get any new superhero content till the middle of 2021. But never fear fans, because The CW is bringing back a host of shows, including Batwoman Season 2, TVLine reports.

According to the recently released schedule, Batwoman Season 2 will be premiering as soon as January 17, 2021. The show will be taking back the Sunday spot that it held throughout Season 1.

Alongside Batwoman Season 2, The CW has also announced that Black Lightning will return February 8 with The Flash airing from February 23. A brand new CWVerse show, Superman & Lois, will premiere directly after The Flash.

However, there is no news yet about the return of Supergirl Season 6, which will be the show’s last. Supergirl may air later than the other shows as it started filming later to give lead actor Melissa Benoist time to spend with her new baby.

Fans of The CW’s shows can also expect to see the return of Riverdale, Nancy Drew, Legacies and Charmed in January. The brand new show Walker, starring Jared Padalecki, will premiere late-January.

The Batwoman Season 2 release date was confirmed on the show’s official Twitter account.

No footage of the show was available, but we can expect more details to roll out as we close in on the season premiere.

Batwoman Season 2: What can we expect to see?

We have already seen our first glimpses of Javicia Leslie as the new Batwoman. Leslie was cast in the new role of Ryan Wilder following Ruby Rose’s exit following the first season.

Leslie will be playing the first Black Batwoman and will be bringing a different dynamic to show. it will be interesting to watch how Leslie’s Wilder fits into the team and fights for the marginalised in Gotham City in Batwoman Season 2.

Looks like fans won’t have to wait too long to see Leslie in action—January 17, 2021 can’t come fast enough!
