‘Seduced: Inside the NXIVM Cult’, Part 3 recap: 11 shocking reveals

3. One of Keith’s youngest victims was only 12-years-old.

A young woman who preferred to stay anonymous gives her testimony in Seduced: Inside the NXIVM Cult. She says she met Keith in 1990 because her mother was involved with Keith’s previous company, Consumer Buyline. According to her, Keith offered to tutor her in Algebra and Latin before beginning a sexual relationship with her, mostly taking place inside of his office in Rome Plaza, an elevator and his house on 3 Flintlock Lane.

The docuseries pulls some chilling monologues from Keith to play during this part of Seduced: Inside the NXIVM Cult. One of them is Keith detailing his explanation of why abuse is not necessarily abuse while discussing the Jness curriculum, and the other is even more graphic. I won’t transcribe them here but if you watch the episode, you’ll know exactly what I’m referring to and it’s pretty damning.

As some of the docuseries guests point out, the most chilling part of all of this is that we still don’t know how many victims there are out there. NXIVM was well protected for many years because they had tons of money from the Bronfmans.

The cult’s robust legal team and high-powered connections made people reluctant to speak against NXIVM. When you have money, power, and resources, it’s very easy to delay justice. Example: Jeffrey Epstein and Harvey Weinstein, who took decades to bring down.

2. Allison and Keith wanted India to enroll her own slaves.

In 2016, DOS started to ramp up. Members were encouraged to get slaves and find women of influence. There was active pressure to enroll. Keith wanted a hierarchy of thousands of women, and he wanted to get a DOS member elected to a political office eventually. He wanted more and more power.

India says that Allison wanted the girls to create lists of people they could enroll in DOS and get pics of their faces from social media and give them to her for approval. Keith and Allison repeatedly pressured India into enrolling her own slaves. Ultimately, India ended up having three slaves under her and was forced to ask them for collateral.

1. The branding ceremony.

It later came time for the second-line of DOS to receive brands. The branding ceremony was about the women making a serious lifetime vow. They were told they were demonstrating their absolute commitment to each other and the group. Allison told them that the brand would be a symbol of the elements and that it would be tiny, like a quarter’s size.

It was Allison’s other slave, Dr. Danielle Roberts, who was allegedly taught how to brand. On the day of the ceremony, India says she and the other women were told to get fully naked and come into Allison’s bedroom.

She recounts the experience, saying she was held down on the table as Danielle branded her with the cauterizing pen. India claims that she was the first woman Danielle branded, and she soon realized the brand would be much larger than a quarter. The entire process lasted 30 minutes, and then India had to watch the other women get branded. Afterward, Allison would tell India that she needed to get her own slaves branded.

In the final moments of Seduced: Inside the NXIVM Cult Part 3, India’s mother, Catherine Oxenberg, describes receiving a chilling phone call from someone who warned her that India was in grave danger.
