‘You’ Season 3 is officially in production, branded masks and all

Joe Goldberg is officially back as production on You Season 3 begins at Netflix.
Fans of the wild psychological thriller, You, starring Penn Badgley as the creepy-yet-hot stalker Joe Goldberg, should get excited. Renewed for a third season earlier this year, You Season 3 is now beginning production, complete with branded protective masks as Netflix contends with extra COVID-19 safety measures.
The verified You Netflix account confirmed the news on Monday, recommending that fans keep their distance from Joe, which anyone in their right mind would do anyway — even if Badgley is incredibly handsome.
They shared a new photograph of show star Badgley posing for a selfie. He donned a black facemask with the signature, “Hello you,” phrase from the series emblazoned across the front. Um, where can we get one?!
Since You is back in production, it looks like the ten-episode third season is on track for a 2021 debut. As for when the show will premiere next year, it’s too early to tell just yet.
The news comes on the heels of several recent casting announcements for the new season. It looks like Joe and Love (Victoria Pedretti) will have some new friends (victims?) in Season 3!
A couple of weeks ago, the Netflix Queue account revealed that Travis VanWinkle and Shalita Grant would be joining the third season. Grant will play Sherry, a “Mom-fluencer” who is something of a mean girl and only pretends to welcome Love into her inner circle. VanWinkle will play Cary, a new friend of Joe’s.
On Oct. 21, the same account also announced that Scott Speedman had joined the cast as a successful CEO and husband named Matthew. But Matthew isn’t without his own secrets and tends to be a distant father.
