Dash and Lily Season 2: Will Netflix make another season?

Is Dash and Lily Season 2 going to happen at Netflix?
We’ve already bulldozed our way through the first season of Netflix’s new holiday rom-com, Dash and Lily, but now many fans, including us, are wondering if Dash and Lily Season 2 will get greenlit by the streaming service. If you didn’t know, the series is based on a book series by David Levithan and Rachel Cohn, so there is a precedent for more stories to be told within this universe.
According to Pop Sugar, showrunner Joe Tracz has already considered making more episodes, saying, “It’s so great to write a first season knowing what the second book is and knowing where Dash and Lily go in their story from the end of season one. I do have thoughts on where we go from there that I cannot share at this time that I’m very excited about.”
The second book in the series titled The Twelve Days of Dash & Lily starts with Lily’s grandfather suffering from a heart attack. His ensuing recovery takes a major toll on Lily and her typically sunny disposition. So, Dash, Langston, Boomer, and their friends do their best to bring the Christmas spirit back into Lily’s life. As the title suggests, it starts 12 days before Christmas, which we know is Lily’s favorite time of year.
It sounds like that could be a great way for the series to continue and then there is always the third book as well. It’d be nice of Netflix would renew the series for two more seasons as three is a nice, tidy number and would wrap up the Dash and Lily saga perfectly!
When would Dash and Lily Season 2 premiere?
Since the Dash and Lily series is specifically Christmas-themed, I think we can always anticipate Netflix releasing it in the November-December timeframe. Should things stick to a normal schedule and the pandemic not intervene, then I imagine we could see a second season by this time next year, or perhaps a few weeks later, but definitely before, or on, Christmas.
