Tiny Pretty Things Episode 7 recap: Who sent Ramon the threatening texts?

Nabil gets an incredible offer in Tiny Pretty Things Episode 7.

In Tiny Pretty Things Episode 7, Nabil is shocked to see Cassie’s fingers twitch while he visits her. Moments prior, he begged for her to show him a sign; it seems like she responded. But her doctor tells Nabil that what he saw was merely a spasm that isn’t uncommon in coma patients.

But Nabil can’t shake the feeling that Cassie might still be in there, fighting. That’s why when he gets an incredible offer from Sienna to go on tour dancing with the band from the music video, he finds it hard to accept. Caleb tries to put things in perspective for Nabil. This is a once-in-a-lifetime offer that anyone would kill for, and it’s only three weeks long. Plus, if Cassie were awake right now, they probably wouldn’t even be together anymore. So why put his life on hold for her? It’s harsh, but he does make some points.

Ultimately, Nabil does decide to accept the opportunity. He returns to the hospital to say goodbye to Cassie and discovers her parents visiting, looking extra somber. Nabil is shocked to find out that they’re planning to pull the plug and end Cassie’s life support.

In Tiny Pretty Things Episode 7, Cruz continues hunting for a suspect.

Shane admits he would have loved to shove Cassie off the roof but didn’t. He says Cassie blackmailed him into dropping out by emailing Bette and telling her that Shane and Oren were hooking up. She wanted her boyfriend Nabil to lead alongside her.

To keep Bette from finding out, Shane snuck into Cassie’s room to delete the email off of her computer. That’s his alibi if Cruz can find it on Cassie’s computer. He also says Cassie wasn’t asleep in her bed like she claimed when he went in to find her computer. But we also know she wasn’t with Oren? So, where was she?

Now Cruz is determined to get access to Bette’s computer. She also intimidates Esmé into telling her the truth about the night Cassie fell. Esmé and Oren were snorting cocaine in the sauna.

When Esmé returns to the sauna to smoke more coke with Oren — he refuses — he’s irritated that everyone keeps changing their stories or telling the truth. Esmé wonders why Oren doesn’t tell the truth. Why does he keep protecting Bette when she clearly doesn’t love him?

Speaking of Bette, she asks Matteo to take her on a real date. But it gets cut short when Niveah and June need her car.

Bette, Niveah and June try to catch a predator & unravel an entire conspiracy in Tiny Pretty Things Episode 7.

Since June quit the club, she doesn’t have any revenue source to pay the many Archer School fees. Monique presents her with a one-time deal. A generous donor has offered to pay her debts and grant her a monthly allowance. In return, all June has to do is sign a non-disclosure agreement, meaning she can’t do anything about what happened to her at the VIP lounge.

June agrees and later learns that Travis also assaulted Paige. Neveah helps her get a morning-after pill. Feeling sick, Paige turns to Alan for help, and he gets an idea of what might have happened. Alan, the only decent adult around, tries to offer her support, but Paige isn’t ready to come forward.

Neveah, June and Bette try to take matters into their own hands. June wears a recorder and returns to the lounge to meet with Travis. He wastes no time feeling her up and divulging all the club secrets. Hadrian Talbot handpicks the girls who work in the lounge from Archer. Monique sends them to him. Wow. I wasn’t expecting that sharp left turn. A sex trafficking scandal!?

June continues pressing Travis for more information until he realizes she’s recording him as June and Neveah listen in from outside. The girls break in to rescue June and get out. But Bette, under the influence of painkillers, crashes her car on the way back to school. Delia, Oren and Cruz show up to retrieve them.

All of them are mostly fine beyond cuts and bruises, but Bette uses Delia’s pee, so they don’t find out she wasn’t sober. In exchange for making this car crash go away, Bette gives Cruz access to her computer so she can find the alleged Cassie-blackmail email Shane said existed.

Bette’s full-body MRI shows her foot injury. She’s cut from the showcase and turns to Matteo for comfort.

Tiny Pretty Things Episode 7: Who sent Ramon all those threatening texts?

Bette tells Delia that Ramon tried to initiate a threesome. It’s a lie, but it’s not like Ramon tried to shut it down, so who cares. The point is, Ramon is a monstrous predator. Delia finally confronts him about his ugly habits, and he dumps her.

So then he goes to seek comfort in his former protégée, Monique. They have sex in his office, and Monique makes a few comments about his dark Parisian past. Putting two and two together, Ramon shoots a text to the anonymous person who texted him all those threats and, surprise! Surprise! It was Monique (and Selena) all along.

Ramon is pissed, but Monique doesn’t see what the big deal is. Ironically, Ramon has done so much bad stuff that she didn’t even have to go into specifics in her texts to spook him into staying in Chicago.

“Do you know how hard it is to keep a place like this afloat? Kings and emperors once paid for ballet. Now I only have rich devils I can cut deals with. If I’m twisted, it’s because dance is a twisted business.”

Monique threatens to have Ramon’s immediate removal, but he says he would blow this whole thing up if she did, and as she’s said, “this place has no room for scandal.” Well, about that…

Odds & Ends from Tiny Pretty Things Episode 7

• During a weigh-in, Oren gets told that he’s gained three pounds. I wonder if we’ll see more about his secretive eating disorder come to the forefront before the season ends.
• Shane and Jason go on a real date. Beforehand, Shane promises that he won’t have sex, but he and Jason wind up doing it in his car anyway. At the dorms, Shane admits to Oren that he feels like people only want him for sex and nothing else. They share a sweet moment with Oren, genuinely trying to cheer Shane up.
• Neveah and Oren practice their dancing in private. He wants to open up to her and share something personal. The camera pans away before we find out what.
