Cobra Kai Season 3 gets a new release date, when will it air on Netflix?

Cobra Kai Season 3 is releasing one week earlier on Netflix.

According to TVLine, the highly-anticipated Cobra Kai Season 3 is going to debut a little earlier on Netflix. It was announced just before Christmas that the new batch of episodes would be dropping on New Year’s Day, January 1, 2021. Before that, the third season was slated to debut on January 8.

The 10-episode third season will kick-off in the aftermath of the intense high school brawl that left Miguel in a precarious condition. Elsewhere, Daniel will try to find out more about his past, Johnny seeks redemption and Kreese continues to manipulate his students. It sounds like many of the students and the sensei will be in for a major shake-up in the new season as new threats arise.

Also reported by the outlet is that two of the Karate Kid franchise veterans, Tamlyn Tomita and Yuji Okumoto, are set to return and reprise their roles of Kumiko and Chozen. It’ll be interesting to see if other Karate Kid alumni show up in the future.

I actually recently watched the much-maligned The Next Karate Kid starring Hilary Swank recently and have seen some people wondering if Swank might ever return to play Julie again.

Considering her previous Netflix series Away was recently canceled, she might have time in her schedule to do it.

Elisabeth Shue could also potentially return as she was shown at the end of Season 2 when Johnny received a Facebook request from her, but so far she hasn’t appeared in any of the Cobra Kai Season 3 promotional material.
