Peacock Saved by the Bell is returning for another season!

According to TVLine, Peacock Saved by the Bell is all set to return for another season! The revival has been a big success for NBCUniversal’s fledgling streaming service, receiving rave reviews from critics and fans alike.

It has only been two months since the series debuted on Peacock TV, so this quick turnaround time seems to indicate that the streamer is confident in the show’s continued success and future.

“I’m thrilled that Saved by the Bell has been renewed. I’ve been blown away by all the love for the show and can’t wait to go back and make more episodes. Hopefully, we stay on Peacock for many more seasons, and then in 30 years, somebody does a reboot of our reboot and invents the threeboot,” said executive producer Tracey Wigfield in a statement.

How many episodes will Peacock Saved by the Bell Season 2 be?

The first season of the Saved by the Bell reboot had 10 episodes and according to TVLine, Season 2 will also have 10 installments. At the end of Season 1, the Bayside and Douglas students came together to ensure the Douglas students wouldn’t be forced to leave Bayside, with the help of Mac’s dad, Governor Zack Morris, of course.

In the final moments, newcomer Daisy expressed her enthusiasm at getting a fresh start at Bayside without all the drama — only for Mac to pipe in with a coronavirus mention. Personally, I’m hoping that one-liner stays a joke because I’d rather not see yet another television show covering a pandemic we’re still living through.

When will Peacock Saved by the Bell Season 2 premiere?

It’s too early to say when the series might return, but I would imagine that Peacock TV will aim for a late 2021 premiere or an early 2022 debut. With the pandemic still ongoing, it’s trickier than usual to determine when production will start and there’s always the possibility of disruption down the line once they do begin.
