Netflix February 2021: Behind Her Eyes on Feb. 17

Behind Her Eyes is finally coming to Netflix next month on February 17. The six-part thriller is based on Sarah Pinsborough’s book of the same name and if you’ve ever read Pinborough’s books you know just how crazy they can be. Unfortunately, it doesn’t look like an official trailer has been released but Heart UK did share a clip that can be viewed on their website. I expected a little more fanfare from Netflix for this show because the novel it’s based on is pretty popular but I’m guessing we’ll get more teasers and trailers in the next few weeks.

For those unfamiliar with the novel, Behind Her Eyes is about a young woman named Louise (The Little Drummer Girl actress Simona Brown) who gets a job at a psychiatrist’s office and then starts having an affair with her boss. But in the process, she also befriends his wife and finds herself caught in a dangerous situation where no one is who they seem to be.

Here is the official synopsis:

"Simona Brown plays Louise, a single mother who has an affair with her psychiatrist boss David (Tom Bateman). Her life takes a strange turn when she later befriends his wife Adele (Eve Hewson), and she finds herself caught in a web of secrets and lies where nothing is what it seems. Also starring Robert Aramayo, Behind Her Eyes is produced by Left Bank Pictures (The Crown) and written by Steve Lightfoot and Angela LaManna, based on the best-selling novel by Sarah Pinborough."

Netflix February 2021: Ginny and Georgia on Feb. 24

If you’re missing Gilmore Girls then Ginny and Georgia might wind up being the series that fills the gaping void, at least for a little while. Not only is about an unshakeable mother-daughter duo with the daughter (Ginny) often being more mature than her mother, the series takes place in New England. The new dramedy follows the Miller family as Georgia tries to give her family a fresh start after being on the run for years. But sadly leaving the past in the past is often easier said than done.

The official synopsis is as follows:

"Angsty and awkward fifteen year old Ginny Miller often feels more mature than her thirty year old mother, the irresistible and dynamic Georgia Miller. After years on the run, Georgia desperately wants to put down roots in picturesque New England and give her family something they’ve never had… a normal life. But it’s not all carpool and Kombucha as Georgia’s past threatens her and her family’s new way of life… and Georgia will do anything to protect her family."
