Elisabeth Moss

Elisabeth Moss is yet another acclaimed actress who has joined the slate of upcoming Apple TV Plus shows. She will star in a “metaphysical” thriller based on Lauren Beukes’s best-selling novel Shining Girls. According to the Apple press release, the series will be adapted and executive produced by Silka Luisa, who also serves as the showrunner.

Moss will also executive produce through Love & Squalor Pictures along with Lindsey McManus. Her character is a Chicago reporter who survived a brutal attack. But when she strives to hunt down her attacker, she finds her reality shifting around her.

Jennifer Garner

Alias fans, rejoice! Jennifer Garner and J.J. Abrams are reunited for a limited series for Apple TV Plus. According to Variety, the pair will adapt the 2017 memoir My Glory Was I Had Such Friends by Amy Silverstein. The series sounds much different tonally than the former spy series, as it will follow ” a group of women who supported Silverstein as she waited for a second life-saving heart transplant.”

Apart from Garner, it’s not clear what other actresses will act in the show. Garner hasn’t been on television since the short-lived HBO series Camping, which wasn’t all that well-received by critics. Hopefully, this time will be much better for all involved.
