Justin Theroux

Justin Theroux is returning to television in an adaptation of the novel Mosquito Coast, which was written by his uncle Paul Theroux. Theroux has previously starred in shows like HBO’s The Leftovers and Netflix’s Maniac. Mosquito Coast is about a man who uproots his family and moves them to Latin America in the hopes of finding a better life there. This will be the second time the 1981 novel was adapted, as it was previously turned into a film that starred Harrison Ford and Helen Mirren.

Patricia Arquette & Adam Scott

Patricia Arquette will reunite with Ben Stiller for High Desert, a comedic series that follows a former addict named Peggy (Arquette) who tries to make amends and become a private investigator after her mother dies. Stiller and Arquette previously worked together on the Escape at Dannemora miniseries.

Arquette is actually set to star in two upcoming Apple TV Plus shows. Apart from High Desert, she will also lead the thriller Severance alongside Adam Scott. Stiller will also work on this project alongside Arquette. Deadline previously announced that actress Britt Lower had joined the cast of the show.

Per Deadline, the series “takes place at Lumen Industries, a company that’s looking to take work-life balance to a new level with a ‘severance procedure,’ which separates work and out-of-work memories.”
