Samuel L. Jackson

Brie Larson isn’t the only one with upcoming Apple TV Plus shows in the works. Samuel L. Jackson will star in The Last Days of Ptolemy Grey. The six-series limited series is based on the novel of the same name by Walter Mosley.

Jackson will portray the lead character, Ptolemy Grey, a 91-year-old man that lives alone after being forgotten and abandoned by his loved ones and even himself. On the precipice of dementia, Ptolemy gets a surprising opportunity to figure out what happened to his nephew in death and finds a new way forward in life.

Gal Gadot

Wonder Woman herself has is one of many actors set to appear in upcoming Apple TV Plus shows. Gadot will star in an eight-episode limited series about Hedy Lamarr, once declared “the most beautiful woman in the world.” Per the press release, Lamarr was once iconized and then later forgotten by American audiences.

But she kept herself active by inventing, including creating what is now our basis of spread spectrum technology. The series will follow her life story through the Golden Age of Hollywood to the dawn of the Cold War. It is “an epic tale of an immigrant woman both ahead of her time and very much a victim to it.”
