Where can you watch The Luminaries Season 1 in the United States?

Based on Eleanor Catton’s 2013 novel of the same name, The Luminaries is a British-New Zealand drama miniseries that initially premiered on BBC One and TVNZ last year. But how can you watch The Luminaries in North America?
This month, you’ll finally be able to watch the Eva Green-led miniseries on Starz in the United States, per Deadline.
The new series is centered on a young, adventurous woman named Anna Wetherell (Eve Hewson). Anna travels from the United Kingdom to start a new life on the South Island’s West Coast during the 1860s Gold Rush.
In New Zealand, Anna hopes to start a new life. She meets Emery Staines (Himesh Patel), and their encounter triggers a strange, seemingly magic incident that is impossible to explain. Apart from Green, Hewson, and Patel, the series also stars Ewen Leslie, Marton Csokas, Benedict Hardie, Erik Thomson and Richard Te Are.
Watch The Luminaries on Starz later, starting February 14.
According to Deadline, the six-part miniseries will air alongside Men in Kilts: A Roadtrip With Sam and Graham starting on February 14 at 9:30 p.m. EST. Most Starz series are available at midnight the day of the premiere, so you likely won’t have to wait until evening to watch if you have access to the app!
The first episode, titled “Fingerprints,” starts the extravagant adventure. Beginning in 1865, Anna and Emery meet on a voyage to New Zealand, but their plans to reunite are frustrated.

While chatting with Deadline in 2020, Hewson said, “There are so many female-driven parts that are really good, complex and different. We have a long way to go, in terms of diversity and gender roles and equal pay, but it is changing and changing rapidly. I feel lucky to work in the #MeToo era.”
