6. God Friended Me

God Friended Me is one of the more recent additions to the graveyard of canceled CBS shows and one that still stings for many fans of the series. The series chronicled the life of Miles Finer, who receives a friend request from a mysterious account named God. “God” subtly encourages Miles to reach out to other people in the city who need assistance.

The series was canceled after only two seasons, mostly due to declining ratings. Another factor is COVID-19, as it happened around the time the show had wrapped production. Instead of worrying about a third season amid the pandemic, CBS just canceled it.

5. Stalker

It has been a while since Stalker was on the air, but many of us still remember and mourn the one-season series starring Maggie Q and Dylan McDermott. Not only did it have a semi-original premise for a procedural crime drama, but it was slick, fast-paced, and the leads had compelling chemistry.

Worst of all, the first season ended on an unresolved cliffhanger that we’ll never know the answer to. Maggie Q is great in any role if you ask me. I’ve loved her since her Nikita days. She hasn’t had the best of luck with television shows, it seems, as her other series, Designated Survivor, was also canceled after only a handful of seasons. Let’s hope her next project fares better.
