2. Supergirl

“But wait!” you say, “Supergirl is on The CW!” Yes, that’s true. However, I can’t be the only one who mourns what the show might have become had it stayed on CBS. Remember the days when it had excellent lighting, filmed in Los Angeles, and Calista Flockhart played Cat Grant? I miss that.

Had the series not moved to The CW and been relegated to Vancouver like every other CW series for budgetary reasons, we likely wouldn’t have lost Calista, who left the show because she didn’t want to travel that far from her family all the time. I still like to think about what we could have had if Cat Grant had never left.

1. Limitless

It’s always a little surprising when a network orders a full season of a fledgling drama and then decides not to pick it up for another season, as was the case with Limitless. While I never expected the show to be great in the first place, considering the movie seemed to tell the story just fine without dragging it out across 22 episodes, it surprised me and many viewers who grew attached to it quickly. Sadly, Limitless started strong and then petered out in viewership by the end of its first season, relegating it to this article about canceled CBS shows.
