I May Destroy You star joins Ted Lasso Season 2 as team shrink

Apple TV+ series Ted Lasso is getting a new cast member for its second season! I May Destroy You star Sarah Niles has joined Ted Lasso Season 2 as a sports psychologist named Sharon hired to work with AFC Richmond, reports Deadline.
The article doesn’t detail any specifics on Sharon’s storyline, all we know is that she’ll be working closely with the team members. It should be fun to see her play off of the show’s many colorful characters. Maybe she’ll even take a crack at Coach Beard!
The news comes just a few days after Jason Sudeikis won Best Actor in a Comedy Series at the Golden Globe Awards. It was the actor’s first-ever Golden Globe win. The series was also nominated for Best Comedy but lost to Schitt’s Creek. Nonetheless, the hit comedy show is proving to be quite the breakout for the relatively young streaming service.
Even though Ted Lasso Season 2 hasn’t premiered just yet, Apple already renewed it for a third season.
Production on Ted Lasso Season 2 is already underway!
Ted Lasso has already been off the air for a few months and fans are eager for news on the perspective new season. We likely won’t see it air until sometime in 2022, as the series is currently in production on its second season.
As for Niles, she recently just completed filming on an upcoming TV limited series titled Viewpoint and recently starred in the retelling of The Sisters set for the stage. If you watched the phenomenal I May Destroy You, she portrayed Officer Funmi, one of the people assigned to Arabella’s case. She has previously appeared in comedies like Trying and Catastrophe.
