10. Daenerys Targaryens from Game of Thrones

This might be a somewhat controversial choice given how her character ended that dreadful final season of Game of Thrones, but I think that regardless of whether you liked Daenerys Targaryen or not, we can mostly agree that her character arc was done dirty by the writers.

Until the eighth season, Dany was easily one of the most significant fan favorites on the show. That actually persisted into the final season, even if her decisions became more divisive among the audience. As the Mother of Dragons and a force to be reckoned with across Westeros, Dany is a fascinating character with one of the most exciting arcs in the series.

She goes from being a timid young girl enslaved by her own brother, a powerful Targaryen Queen who can control dragons. DRAGONS! What could be cooler than that? Even in the end, when she’s “killed” by Jon Snow, I like to believe that Dany somehow survived and is out there thriving with her dragons. I mean, she was carried away by one.

Who knows what could have happened after that? It’s such a shame Dany’s long, thrilling arc was rushed and badly written in the end, but there is still hope that George R.R. Martin will give her character the ending she rightfully deserves in the books (if he ever finishes writing them).
