4. Watch Behind Her Eyes

I think it’s fair to say that two of the most significant reasons people have tuned in and enjoyed The Luminaries is because of the excellent performances from the show’s leading ladies Eve Hewson and Eva Green, particularly when the two share scenes together. Hewson has been on everyone’s mind as of late because of her recent thrilling, twisted Netflix series Behind Her Eyes, based on the book of the same name by Sarah Pinborough.

Behind Her Eyes follows single mother Louise, who embarks on an affair with her new boss, but things take a decidedly strange turn when she finds herself befriending his wife, Adele. The ending has to be seen to be believed. The entire series is currently available to stream on Netflix.

3. Watch Penny Dreadful

Green is a talented actress who has starred in her fair of projects over the years, but perhaps none is as well-known and beloved as her three-season turn on the Showtime series Penny Dreadful. The Victorian gothic horror series takes characters from the public domain, such as Dorian Gray, Dracula, Mr. Jekyll/Hyde and even Victor Frankenstein and his creature, and combines them into a lurid, fascinating and captivating series with rich production value. It’s definitely worth watching (although I would skip the terrible spin-off series).
