2. Watch more Starz historical dramas

If watching The Luminaries put you in the mood to watch more historical dramas, then you’re in the right place. Starz is home to several fantastic period pieces, including the acclaimed and highly popular Outlander, based on Diana Gabaldon’s bestselling book series of the same name.

The time-traveling saga follows Claire Randall (Caitriona Balfe), a former WWII nurse, who finds herself transported back in time to 1743 Scotland, where she meets Highland warrior Jamie Fraser (Sam Heughan) and gets embroiled in a love affair that spans centuries. Other excellent historical dramas available on the service include Spartacus, Black Sails, The White Queen, The White Princess and The Spanish Princess.

1. Rewatch The Luminaries

Of course, if you’re not ready to say goodbye to The Luminaries just yet, you could always restart the series from the beginning! I recommend doing this after you get around to reading the novel, as then you’ll be able to compare and contrast the two mediums accurately.

Plus, you might catch things in the early episode that hint toward the series’ eventual outcome that you missed the first time around. Now that the series is done, all six episodes are available to stream, so you can watch the entire thing through without having to wait a week between episodes!
