Mythic Quest to premiere another special episode before Season 2

Mythic Quest is returning to us soon for its second season, but before that, Apple TV+ is giving fans a special gift in the shape of another standalone episode from the first season!
The hilarious comedy starring Always Sunny‘s Rob McElhenney already gave us one special during the pandemic (Mythic Quest: Quarantine) that was very sweet and especially poignant. But McElhenney promises that this new episode, titled “Everlight,” will address “the practical and emotional difficulties of returning to normalcy.”
This episode will see the Mythic Quest crew returning to their offices after the coronavirus pandemic to participate in the company’s annual Everlight party, per Deadline.
Anthony Hopkins will lend his voice to the episode, although it’s not clear in what capacity just yet.
“It’s full of hope and joy and optimism for a bright future. Ahead of our upcoming second season, we felt it was the perfect way (and the perfect time) to invite the audience back into the world of ‘Mythic Quest,’” said McElhenney.
When does Mythic Quest: Everlight premiere?
The special episode debuts on Friday, April 16! It will be a half-hour production, similar to the other episodes of the show. Ashly Burch wrote the installment and McElhenney directed it.
As for the second season of the show, it will officially premiere on Friday, May 7. The new season will focus on everyone’s return to the office as they try and prepare a new expansion of their game to build on the success of Raven’s Banquet.
Of course, Ian and Poppy (who was promoted to co-creative director at the end of Season 1) will struggle to figure out the game’s direction. Other plotlines this season include C.W. dealing with his past, office romance and Jo leaving David to work with Brad.
