In Batwoman Season 2 Episode 11, ‘Arrive Alive’ sees our heroes go undercover to take down Black Mask. But the superhero life comes with a ton of danger, and Team-Batwoman is going to face it all.

So far, The CW show has managed to keep Batwoman’s identity a secret from even her nearest and dearest. But over the last few episodes, Ryan’s personal life and her role as Batwoman have overlapped.

While Batwoman is trying to take down Black Mask, Ryan is trying to get her soulmate, Angelique, back from the very same villain. That overlap is going to cause Ryan a lot of problems this episode.

And maybe Angelique doesn’t need as much help as Ryan thinks she does. Angelique’s found a way to stay alive after being kidnapped by Black Mask. She offers to help make Snakebite, since Black Mask doesn’t have Ocean’s formula. Will that be enough to keep her safe?

Batwoman Season 2 Episode 11 – The Operation

The False-Face Gang have a new MO in Batwoman Season 2 Episode 11. They’re using fancy cars and doing some Gotham Drifting to find the final crucial ingredient of Snakebite—Scarecrow’s fear toxin. Since they’re the only key to Team-Batwoman finding Angelique, Batwoman heads out there and manages to stop one of the cars.

When Batwoman hauls the driver out she sees who the driver is—Sophie. Looks like Sophie’s had a plan all along and Batwoman accidentally ruined it. Black Mask is smart—he gives the location of pick-ups and drop-offs on a special phone. Which disconnects the moment a driver is late.

Jacob doesn’t take Sophie’s undercover assignment well—especially because he doesn’t think Angelique is worth it. Jacob even assigns a new agent on the False-Face case—Russell Tavaroff (Jesse Hutch), a man who is known for going in guns blazing. There’s no reasoning with Jacob. What nobody knows is that Jacob is already compromised by Snakebite.

Sophie is desperate and she accepts a new plan from Ryan. The False-Face gang is going to need a new driver, and Ryan is going to volunteer. These two used to hate each other, but they mutually let down Angelique. It’s great to see them working together now.

Mary offers a very fancy car for Ryan to use for this street-racing undercover operation. But Sophie isn’t sure about it. Ryan may not be an expert at street-racing, but she’s ready to learn. Sophie kindly introduces Ryan to her associate—Luke.

Luke and Ryan pretending not to know each other is hilarious. I love this, but they’re going to have to fess up to Sophie soon enough. Luke knows that Sophie is going to figure it out eventually. Sophie may not have been able to see past Kate as Batwoman, but she doesn’t have that connection to Ryan.

Batwoman Season 2 Episode 11 – Gotham Drift

Ryan’s homework is not what she expected it to be in Batwoman Season 2 Episode 11. Luke’s already installed AI in Mary’s car so he can control it. And Ryan thought her driving had been getting better. Nevertheless, the plan works, and Ryan is asked to join the False-Face Gang’s next race.

Unfortunately, things are never simple for Team-Batwoman. The False-Face Gang have deployed a drone that will make it much harder to stop and plant a tracker. But, since Luke is driving via the AI, it frees up Ryan to open up a fear toxin canister and place the tracker.

Despite a minor hiccup with some Crows following, Ryan successfully completes the tracker placement and reaches her destination to deliver the toxin.

But there’s a new problem—Sophie didn’t think Ryan’s plan would work, so now she’s gone to fight the False-Face Gang on her own. Oh dear!

Sophie’s plan goes south in minutes. She gets into the False-Face Gang’s warehouse but Black Mask knocks her out. Now Team-Batwoman has to save two people, not just one. Black Mask does let slip that he’d shared his motivation behind creating the False-Face Gang with Batwoman.

This is news to Sophie—Batwoman didn’t share this information with her. Is this going to be a point of contention between the two of them? Sophie’s still annoyed about Batwoman ruining her undercover operation.

Joke’s on Black Mask though—Batwoman is already there and ready to fight him so Sophie can escape. Sophie and Batwoman fighting Black Mask together is amazing. Unfortunately, he still has Angelique and threatens to kill her if they don’t let him go. There is just no winning with this man!

Whatever Black Mask showed Batwoman and Sophie wasn’t even true. Angelique’s busy working on Snakebite. She hasn’t perfected the drug, however. Angelique has had to guess, which is disappointing for Black Mask. But Angelique has a plan—she offers to help find Ocean so they can perfect Snakebite again.

Later, Sophie goes to inspect Mary’s car and of course, she finds the tech Luke used to control the car. She hacks into it and Luke’s worst fears come to life—Sophie hears Ryan talk about the Batsuit and connects the dots.

But Sophie isn’t the only Crow on Batwoman’s tail. Tavaroff inspects the fight scene between Batwoman and Black Mask and finds some blood. All he needs to do is check the system and he can easily find Ryan. Team-Batwoman is in grave danger.

Alice is up to her tricks in Batwoman Season 2 Episode 11. She’s now impersonating Enigma and taking on a real-life client. When Enigma shows up, Alice kills the patient. Yikes! Enigma was sent by Safiyah, but she’s under the impression that Alice wants to remember her time on Coryana. Wrong. Alice needs Enigma to help her forget Kate.

Enigma really knows her job—she starts psychoanalysing Alice. She can’t just remove Kate’s presence from Alice’s mind—Kate is the last vestige of Alice’s moral compass.

Alice is already a murderer—thanks to Enigma’s ministrations—but without Kate, Alice will have absolutely nothing to keep her in check.

Enigma uses a special light to hypnotise Alice, who immediately has a conversation with young Kate in her mind. Kate always knew Alice better than Alice knew herself, but she insists that Kate was wrong about her. Alice has never felt love for Kate, or anyone.

Alice’s efforts to erase Kate only make things worse—now she not only remembers Kate, but Ocean, as well. Enigma is in big trouble. Alice wants the ghosts gone but Enigma keeps dredging up Alice’s subconscious desires for Ocean.

But the plot thickens! Enigma’s office door is broken down by the real Ocean, who Alice is shocked to learn is still very much alive. And he is very angry. Ocean just wants to know why Alice stabbed him. He is visibly moved when Alice tells Ocean killing him was the only way to get Kate back.

Of course, Alice uses the moment to get the upper hand and they duke it out. Until Enigma uses a code word to disable both of them. It gives her time to escape but it also restores their memories with each other. Safiyah isn’t going to be happy.

Alice and Ocean start reconnecting after their memories return. This is a very different Ocean than we saw only minutes ago—he forgives Alice immediately for stabbing him. Alice is surprised but relieved. She’s still complicated but at least she has some feeling back.

But Enigma is now in the wind and we still have no update on Kate’s condition. Can Kate Kane ever be saved? Can Angelique? Team-Batwoman have their work cut out in the next few episodes.

Final Thoughts – Batwoman Season 2 Episode 11

There was a lot of action and suspense in Batwoman Season 2 Episode 11. But what I loved about it was how the story set up those final moments.

Luke has been concerned about Team-Batwoman working with Sophie without being honest with her. He’s also been skeptical about Ryan’s personal life becoming Batwoman’s problem to solve. And he was right.

What will be the fall out of the events of this episode? Sophie may be understanding—annoyed and angry at being lied to again, but she’ll probably handle it. What about the Crows and Tavaroff? They’ve been against Batwoman since forever. This is just what they need to take her down.

Batwoman is on hiatus for two weeks so we’ll only find out what happens on May 2. It’s going to be a very long wait!
