The Walking Dead question: What is Negan’s role in Alexandria now?
Negan went from villain to prisoner to savior and now outcast all in a matter of seasons. On the show, this transformation happens over the course of several years but ends with him being at odds with almost everyone all over again.
Fans have yet to see Carol keep the promise she made to Negan. She promised that he would have a place in Alexandria outside of prison if he killed Alpha.
Negan accomplished this task only to be told he is banished. A decision Carol made herself without the council assumably because Maggie is back.
At first, Negan accepts his exile but after he reflects on his past and closes that chapter in his life he is ready to return. When he does Carol, Daryl and Maggie are far from happy however Negan doesn’t seem to care less what they think.
He did his part and expects Carol to keep her end of the bargain even if he takes it by force. Since the council isn’t present and the current situation seems to be repairing Alexandria, where does this leave Negan?
Will he do his part and become a worker, avoiding contact with the Alexandrians? Will he be forced to leave?
Or will he be tasked with defending the people of Alexandria once more?
The Walking Dead question: How will everyone regroup?
Right now our heroes are separated and disconnected but as The Walking Dead has shown in previous seasons, our heroes will eventually reunite. The question is when and how?
While the immediate threat to Maggie and her people seems to be gone for now, how long until the danger arrives at Alexandria’s front gates? Since Father Gabriel and Aaron are continuing their scavenging journey, how long until they return home?
Keep in mind with them gone, as long as there isn’t a backup council, the council hasn’t met and decisions are going to have to made. How long will the group wait for Eugene, Ezekiel, and Yumiko to return before they decide to search for them?
How will the group react to the addition of The Princess? It will be interesting to see how everyone reunites as long as it doesn’t happen too late.
