Manifest Season 3, Episode 4 recap: Tail Spin

In the previous episode of Manifest, we learn that the tailfin may have more to it than meets the eye. What does this mean for the Stone family?

This episode begins with a dream 2 months after the previous episode. Ben has dreamt that the plane has exploded and when he wakes up his hand is glowing.

Ben calls Saanvi and she knows about his hand. He feels the tailfin and wants to go see it again.

Vance is sending a car for Ben to go see the tailfin.

Manifest Season 3 Episode 4: What will happen when Ben gets to the tailfin?

Ben is dropped off at an undisclosed location. Saanvi is also there. Vance comes out to meet them and tells Saanvi to go inside. Vance is angry that Ben got him out of Cuba.

Vance tells them that he is in charge of the investigation into flight 828. Ben thinks that this is good news and we would have to agree.

They are let inside, but when they see what is inside they are shocked. It isn’t just the tailfin. They have the entire plane.

Michaela is at her new home with Zeke and Beverly. Beverly is having an episode. Zeke has another impulse of empathy and is able to help Beverly. What does this mean for the callings?

Vasquez is talking to Sarah at the precinct. They are still looking for her mother. Sarah mentions strolling through a park to Vasquez, which is exactly where she died.

Pete and the other meth heads are feeling another calling. Pete is in jail and Angelina goes to talk to him. She tells him about the death date and how he only has 1 week left to live.

At the NSA, Vance, Ben, and Saanvi are going through flight 828. Ben tells Vance about the tailfin and his urge to see it. While they are inside, his hand starts to glow. Ben wants to see it up close, but Vance wants to show them something else first.

Michaela and Zeke are visited by Angelina. She says Pete needs their help and that he had a calling. Michaela wants to follow Pete’s calling because he cannot.

Drea walks up to Jared in the precinct. Jared sees that there is a noise complaint from the park around the time that her mother went missing. Could he be onto something?

At the jail, Pete is visited by Michaela. She is there, with Zeke, to help. Pete tells them about a clock that was counting down. It was the clock from his high school football field.

Angelina is hanging out with Olive. Olive tells her that she isn’t going to prom because she can’t go with TJ.

Michaela and Zeke go to the football field and talk to Pete’s coach, Coach Hannity. He tells them about the boy, Derek, that he found dead in the locker room. Pete had sold a boy named Derek drugs and he overdosed. Pete took the fall for his brother and Kory.

As Michaela and Zeke are leaving, Jace shows up and sees them. Could he be on the same mission?

We go back to the hanger with Vance, Ben, and Saanvi. The plane that they have is the plane that blew up in the first episode.

Vance also shows them that the tailfin disappeared from the hanger. Which is how it ended up in Cuba. The tailfin disappeared on the same night that Zeke survived and the meth heads died.

Jared follows up with the officer that handled the noise complaint. A man gave her a story about a sick dog and she cut him a break. Jared wants to investigate further.

Ben is on his way to the tailfin. He tells Vance about the meth heads returning. Saanvi runs into Troy. She asks him about his research and basically he is replicating Saanvi’s research about the 828 blood mutation.

Ben is walking up to the tailfin and is ready to touch it. He puts his hand on it and nothing happens.

Michaela and Zeke confront Pete about Derek. Zeke has another flash of empathy and calls Pete out on protecting someone. Pete says that Coach Hannity made them all sell drugs. If they didn’t sell, Coach would beat them. Michaela wants to know where Jace is, but Pete goes back to his cell.

Michaela is going to pay Hannity a visit.

Jace is out on the street. Kory runs up to him. They are at Hannity’s house. Kory doesn’t want Jace to go after him.

Saanvi and Ben are about to leave the NSA, but Ben’s hand glows again. He thinks they are still hiding something. He takes this mission into his own hands and goes into a restricted area, leaving Saanvi behind.

Manifest Season 3 Episode 4: What will Ben find?

Ben is running through hallways, following his hand.

Jared is calling around asking about the noise complaint and the “sanitation workers” that were around. Drea warns him not to go too deep into Pentagon territory.

Drea meets Michaela at Hannity’s house. Kory and Jace are already inside. Kory has been shot and Jace has run off. Jace shot Kory accidentally. Kory tells Michaela to look inside a vent for drugs. They find all of the drugs and money and arrest Hannity.

Olive and Angelina are looking into old mythology, but Olive decides that they should do something else.

Saanvi runs into Vance and tells Vance that the tailfin moved because she killed Fitz. Vance then tells Saanvi that he wants her to work for him. Ben is making his way through the hallways and is caught. He takes off.

As Ben runs away his hand continues to glow, but now the handprint on the tailfin is glowing too.

Ben gets into a room and finds the body of someone from the flight suspended in some kind of liquid.

Olive and Angelina go to prom. Angelina tries to drop her off, but Olive insists that she come. They part ways anyway.

Michaela goes to Pete and tells him the news. Pete has 4 days left and tells Michaela how she can find Jace.

Ben yells at Vance about the body they have. But his head doctor tells him that her body is reverting to a plane crash scenario and that she has algae in her body consistent with the ocean.

Ben’s callings are right, they died in the plane.
