The Walking Dead Top Moment: Father Gabriel kills Mays

Both Father Gabriel and Aaron had great character growth since their first episodes on The Walking Dead. However, it seems one may have changed more than the other.

In the episode “One More” the two are searching for supplies but finding the task to be difficult with walkers plaguing their journey. When they decide to take shelter for the night they had no idea that it was the home of a deranged man named Mays.

Unhappy that they drank his liquor and ate his pet boar, he forces Father Gabriel and Aaron to play Russian roulette in which either they shot themselves or each other. Throughout this tense game, the two refuse to shoot each other and instead try to speak some sense into Mays.

When they are finally able to get through to him Father Gabriel promises that he can come with them back to their home. He promises that there is a place for people like him.

As Mays releases Aaron first, acting seemingly normal for the first time Father Gabriel takes the chance to kill him with Aaron’s weaponized arm. The act was so sudden and swift that it leaves Aaron in utter shock.

He is horrified to see that Father Gabriel had no intention of keeping his word. Whereas Father Gabriel reasoned that there was no way someone that dangerous could return with them to Alexandria.

The Walking Dead Top Moment: Maggie’s Return

Maggie’s back and she brought along her son, new friends, and possibly new enemies. Negan’s presence was reason enough for her to leave with Georgie and the twins earlier in Season 9.

Since then years had passed and now she has returned. However, upon her arrival, she didn’t expect to see Negan looking alive and well and free from his cell.

The last time she saw him he was a broken man and now he appears to be one of the Alexandrians. Of course, that last part is barely true.

He is free from his cell, he’s a major reason why Alexandria survived The Whisperers but he’s not exactly welcome there either. Regardless Maggie’s return was long-awaited after it was revealed she would be returning.

Fans look forward to seeing how much she has or has not changed, what she had been up to, and of course, want to see more of her and Glenn’s son Hershel. Will Maggie take more of a leadership role upon her return?

Has she changed and for the better?
