The Morning Show star Billy Crudup has been cast in a new, 10-episode half-hour dramedy called Hello Tomorrow!, Show Snob has learned. Crudup, who is an Emmy and Critics Choice Award winner, will also serve as an executive producer while Johnathan Entwistle (The End of the F***king World) is attached to direct the MRC Television project.

Set in a retro-future world, Hello Tomorrow! follows a group of traveling salesmen selling lunar timeshares. Crudup will play Jack, a driven and charismatic salesman who is eternally optimistic about the future and hopes to continue inspiring his coworkers. Unfortunately, his desire to revitalize his customers threatens to leave him lost in the dream that sustains him.

Hello Tomorrow! comes from Amit Bhalla and Lucas Jansen, the pair will also serve as executive producers alongside Crudup. The series is the latest in an ambitious slate of planned original series starring numerous A-list actors at Apple TV+.

Will Billy Crudup exit The Morning Show for his new series?

As fans of the 52-year-old know, Crudup is currently starring in Apple’s other original show, The Morning Show, which will return for its sophomore season later this year. Crudup’s performance on the show earned him an Emmy Award and Critics Choice Award, along with a SAG nomination for his role as Cory Ellison.

With this new starring role, will Crudup potentially leave The Morning Show? The second season is currently in production, and according to TVLine, a rep has confirmed that Crudup’s work on this show won’t interfere with The Morning Show. I’m sure it helps that both shows are Apple TV+ projects so they can work with the actor to ensure his schedule doesn’t conflict.
