These 17 canceled Fox shows still make our hearts ache.

Fox has a bad habit of canceling shows before they get the chance to thrive. They’re not a network known for giving second chances, and you can’t trust that they won’t cancel your favorite show without giving it a chance to conclude appropriately.

Even if a series gets more than one season, Fox might still end it prematurely. At least at networks like The CW, they usually give the writers a notice that this season will be the last. We’re still missing these 17 canceled Fox shows that ended way too early.

17. Prodigal Son

Prodigal Son is the latest to join the heap of canceled Fox shows and the inspiration behind this article. The show was canceled earlier this week after just two seasons. It centered on Malcolm Bright, whose father, Martin Whitly, is a serial killer dubbed “The Surgeon.” But when a copycat serial killer starts using his father’s methods of killing, Malcolm (a former FBI profiler now working for the NYPD) is forced to confront his dad for assistance.

Prodigal Son was another show that fell into the Tuesday night curse that Fox can’t seem to break. Even though it never seemed to get great ratings, the show has procured a loyal fanbase who are already lobbying hard to get another network or streaming service to save the series.
