4. Pitch

Pitch was such a delightful little show. The series followed a young pitcher known for her screwball pitch who becomes the first woman to play in the Major Leagues for the San Diego Padres. Kylie Bunbury took over the lead role while Mark-Paul Gosselaar played the team captain, who was often stuck in his own way.

It’s a shame that the show was canceled, as it had a lot of promise and came straight from NBC’s big moneymaker Dan Fogelman (creator of This Is Us). One has to wonder if Fox didn’t shoot themselves in the foot canceling this show before it got the chance to find a bigger audience. It could have used a better timeslot because Fox did it no favors putting it up against Thursday Night Football.

3. Almost Human

Almost Human was similar to Minority Report in that they were both crime sci-fi dramas set in the distant future. Almost Human had a great cast consisting of Michael Ealy and Karl Urban. Set in 2048, John Lennox wakes up from a coma, and his world is changed.

He’s later paired with a new robot partner on the force and must find a way to work with him despite having a strong aversion to androids. While it had low ratings, Almost Human also had a lot of promise. Unfortunately, it’s like the high production costs were what got in the way and earned this show a slot on our list of canceled Fox shows we miss.
