Fear The Walking Dead Season 6 may have lost John Dorie (Garrett Dillahunt) a few episodes ago, but this week’s episode teaches us more about him than ever before. The loss of this character was one that many of us are still not over, as John Dorie became such an integral part of the series.

But as the series continues in his absence, there’s much more story to explore. “J.D.” not only focuses on June (Jenna Elfman) figuring out how to move forward, but the person John was. More importantly, it introduces us to his father, John Dorie Sr. (Keith Carradine).

With John Dorie Sr. officially joining the story, it’s not only changing the dynamic of the group, but it’s opening up an avenue for multiple arcs. I’m so here for whatever comes next, especially when it comes to new characters. Hopefully, John Dorie Sr. is a welcome addition and isn’t someone they regret letting in.

There is lots to talk about when it comes to the Dorie family so let’s get right into the recap of this week’s episode of Fear The Walking Dead Season 6!

Fear The Walking Dead Season 6, Episode 13: John Dorie x 2

This week we have the pleasure of revisiting the life of John Dorie courtesy of John Dorie Sr. He wasn’t around for John’s life, but there seems to be a deep connection there nonetheless. Roping in Carradine for this role was nothing short of perfect because he brought this eerie similarity to Dillahunt’s John.

When we meet Senior, we quickly learn he was a police officer before the world went to hell, and he loves sporting a cowboy hat just like his son. They even have the same mannerisms, it’s quite uncanny if I’m being honest.

Sadly, Senior left John when he was just a wee boy and abandoned their family on account of his alcohol problems. And while John didn’t have those specific problems, he did find a place to isolate himself from June and the world so he could plan out his suicide.

Like father, like son.

It’s unclear why Senior is a part of the story, or what he will bring to the series overall, but it will create a potential string of problems surrounding Teddy the mortician. Senior framed him back in the time and he was sentenced to life in prison, and ever since the 70s, he’s the crazy guy running around screaming “The End Is The Beginning”.

Yup, Teddy is the guy responsible, and with Senior in the picture now, I think he’s going to be slightly pissed off.

By the episode’s end, Senior is brought into Morgan’s (Lennie James) compound as a member of the new family. Sure, it took some convincing and arguing to get there, but perhaps this might be the start of something new.

Fear The Walking Dead Season 6, Episode 13: Sherry and Dwight make moves

Dwight (Austin Amelio) and Sherry (Christine Evangelista) have been struggling to make it work all season, but it looks like there may be a happy ending in their future after all. The whole purpose of Dwight coming onto Fear The Walking Dead was to find Sherry. And ever since that has been accomplished, there hasn’t been a lot going on with them.

It was slow to start, but by the end of this week’s episode, the two finally decide to try and make things work. But before coming to that conclusion, Sherry is dead-set on returning to Alexandria to seek revenge on Negan (Jeffrey Dean Morgan).

She ultimately changes her mind, but honestly, after the thrill of them finding one another, this couple has taken a backseat in my opinion. What they end up deciding to do hasn’t changed much within the context of the show, so I wish them well, and now it’s onto the next thing.

And that just about wraps up this week’s major events from Fear The Walking Dead Season 6! See ya next week!

Next. All the big stars headed to Apple TV Plus. dark

I have a feeling Teddy is about to become a huge problem.
