How to watch the Mare of Easttown season finale tonight on HBO

Mare of Easttown Season 1, Episode 7, “Sacrament,” the season (and probably series) finale of the hit HBO show, premieres tonight at 10:00 p.m. ET/PT after back-to-back new episodes of In Treatment Season 4. The latest episode of this crime drama will run for about one hour and seven minutes and is rated TV-MA for adult content, adult language, and violence.
Apart from airing on HBO, the episode will air simultaneously on HBO Latino, with encore presentations following throughout the night, beginning at 11:10 p.m. ET on HBO. The episode will also be available on-demand for HBO Max subscribers on Monday, May 31.
The last episode of Mare of Easttown Season 1 followed the aftermath of Colin Zabel’s tragic death at the hands of Wayne Potts after they tracked the missing girls down to Bennie’s Tavern. But beyond mourning Colin’s loss, the episode also gave us a shocking bombshell in the form of Billy Ross’s confession.
Billy tearfully admits to his brother John that he killed Erin. Later, the two decide to go on a fishing trip together to clear their heads and figure out what to do next, but Billy has a gun stashed inside his tackle box, and some things aren’t adding up.
In the episode’s final moments, Jess brings a photo she saved from Erin’s journals to the chief. We don’t get to see the photo, but whatever is on it motivates the chief to call Mare immediately before she gets to the cabin and arrests Billy. We’re pretty sure there is more to the story than Billy claims.
What’s happening in Mare of Easttown Season 1, Episode 7?
As fans of the show know, tonight is the big finale! That means we’ll finally find out what happened to Erin and hopefully get all of our burning questions answered as the show wraps. The episode will likely begin by revealing that ominous photo, and if all the fan theories are correct, it’s probably going to show that Erin wasn’t hooking up with Billy, but with John Ross, who might be DJ’s bio dad. A lot is riding on tonight’s episode, and we can’t wait to watch it!
