4. Victor comes out to his family, and his parents announce their separation

Things in the Salazar household ended on a bittersweet note at the end of Season 1. After Pilar found a note intended for Benji and confronted him about cheating, Victor reassured her that he was still the same person and the note wasn’t what she thought it was.

In the final moments of the finale, Victor came out to his parents, who had just revealed that they were planning to separate after fighting all season. We didn’t get to see his family’s reaction to the news. According to an interview with the showrunners for EW, Love, Victor Season 2 will pick up immediately where we left off so that fans can see their reactions. Apart from his parents, Victor also previously came out to his best friend Felix Westen (Anthony Turpel), the first person at Creekwood he told about his feelings for Benji.

3. Mia’s dad has a new girlfriend

If you recall from Season 1, Mia’s dad Harold started dating women’s rights advocate Veronica (Sophia Bush). By the end of the season, they were engaged and expecting a baby. Mia was initially quite hostile toward Veronica but seemed to warm to her by the end of the season.

Going into Love, Victor Season 2, Bush is returning as Veronica, and the trailer teases that she and Harold are still excited about the new baby. I’m guessing we’ll see more of these growing family dynamics with Mia as she adjusts to life without Victor as her boyfriend. It’s also not clear how many episodes Bush will be in as she is starring in an upcoming television show Good Sam that was recently ordered to series.
